I think 'Paras' is an Hindustani ragam.
I happened to hear this and started liking it and hence featured it in my blog.Hope you liked this song too.

There is another song composed by Dikshitar in the same ragam
It is "Sri Sukra Bhagavantham" on Sukran, one of the Navagraha Krithis
Madurai Mani Iyer has rendered this song.

Javalis are small songs with highly romantic content. Brinda and Mukhta are famous for popularising them. Dharmapuri Subbayar has a written a lot of Javalis. Please listen to this Javali in Behag by Sanjay Subramanian.
