இந்த பாடல் அபேரி ராகத்தில் தான் முன்பு பாடப்பட்டது.முசிரி சுப்பிரமணிய ஐயர் இதைக் கர்னாடக தேவகாந்தாரியில் பாடி பிரபலப் படுத்தினார். எம்.எஸ்.சுப்புலக்ஷ்மி பாடுவதும் கர்னாடக தேவகாந்தாரியில் தான்.

    Has Garuda on coming to know of your desire to give me darshan complained that the distance from the heavens to the earth is too much? O supreme being, protector of the universe! To whom should I turn now? I cannot bear your illusory tactics! O object of Tyagaraja’s worship, protect me!
